It might well have been different if Aaron Ramsey hadn't picked up the yellow card in the Belgium match that got him suspended from this one.

A fantastic team spirit and two players of real class in Bale and Ramsey got them further than anyone imagined (probably including themselves), but without one of those three ingredients I reckon it was always going to be a bit of a struggle.

You could see how much they missed him from the beginning :-(
