Greetings
Is there a go-to supplier for spares for the older Eribas? Looking for brake shoes etc plus general service data. Its a 1980 Puck on an AL-KO 120SR/1 Chassis.
Thanks Folk
Dee

Jandi Caravans are great for spares and knowledge, they go the extra mile.

Thanks for the answers...
The reason for the original question was that none of the spares listings or online ordering systems illustrate my brake assembly or acknowledge any of the visible part numbers. If I don't have any luck with new spares then I'll get the existing shoes re-faced.

If its not had service for a number of years consider getting it a full service, they will not only look at the running gear and the chassis but the electrics and the gas for safety etc

It may cost a couple of hundred quid for a full service but the peace of mind is worth it.

The 120SR number you quoted refers only to the front-end hitch assembly. The Al-Ko brake, hub and bearing parts are defined by the information shown on the oval plate attached to the axle - although on a van of your vintage this may not be easy to read.
Alternatively, the brake shoe size can be determined from the internal diameter of the brake drum and the width of the original shoe.
Eg, a drum with internal diameter 160mm and shoe width of 37mm will be Al-Ko type 1637 (but also includes types 1635 and 1636 - these are interchangeable and carry the same Al-Ko part number).
Brake shoes must be replaced as axle sets, ie, both o/s and n/s drums and it's best to fit complete brake shoe sets, which include springs, etc. as shown here.
Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for your help and input.
I think Jandi must be on holiday... haven't managed to raise them on the phone, and no email reply in a week.
AL-KO are no help at all, just refer to our local agent. None of the local agents fill me with confidence - mostly of the 'computer says no' variety.
It is a 160mm drum and the shoes could plausibly be 37 wide, so thats encouraging. I guess that I was discouraged by the illustration of the more modern shoes having a different retaining method (spring holding the shoe against the backplate).
Axle data plate is fairly unreadable, but at best guess its RUCKM TYP B600. Next line is WB20?1 and what may be 000??.
Does that make any sense?
Thanks again.
Dee

These are the Al-Ko 1637s, Dee.
Are they the same as yours?

Success at last! http://www.tavistockcaravans.co.uk/ local to me and with AL-KO parts in stock!
It is 1637s that I needed. they vary quite a bit in design to my existing brake shoes - but critically fit in all the right places.
Thanks again everyone.
