Tyre Pressures - AGAIN

After several email/letters backwards and forwards between Hymer and myself regarding correct tyre pressures for the Touring range of vans we have finally arrived at a resolution.

This situation arose as a result of the conflicting advice between what is stated in the handbook and the label attached to the bulkhead of the gas locker. For the tyres fitted to our van the stated pressure given in the handbook is 3.3bar whilst that on the label in the gas locker states 3.7bar. I got the distinct impression that Hymer in Bad Waldsee were not even aware of this label especially so as they requested I take a photograph of same and forward it on to them.

The result is that the figure stated in the handbook is the correct one and should always be followed. Yes I realise we've discussed this at length before and it is not the intention of this post to reopen that discussion once again. However, with regards to the label, I have been advised that this should be ignored and the label itself will be removed by the dealer when the van goes in for it's next damp inspection later in the year. I have no way of knowing whether vans exported to the UK also have this label but if so it might be worth keeping this post in mind.

No label in my van although its a Troll 2007. Going back many years it was a discussion on another forum that the tyre pressure for tourers should be 2.5 bar as stated in the manuals. Robert Jackson who was a guru on Eribas advised after talking with Hymer that the correct pressure should be 3.0 bar.
I have stuck to 3.0 bar and not had any problems and as pressure will alter as tyres warm up, it is I feel subjective. How often do most car drivers check their tyre pressure ? not often methinks

Hi Deeps you have had me checking my 2015 tyre pressure sticker in the van bulkhead, it corresponds to the manual for my Familia..
