Yes, I have a 2.0 diesel. Great tow car. Sometimes you cannot tell my 310 is there.

Yep, had a Yeti diesel (2wd) towing a 540 for about 3.5 years with no problems Indeed, like PhilipM, I sometimes wonder what that is so close behind me ! I can get 35-36 mpg on a long run.
Cheers

Thanks folks. I have a 4x4 150 Yeti, yeti to be tried and tested. Have you found that you still heed extension mirrors?

Not so much 'if you need them !' More the 'law' requires them if your tow vehicle is not as wide as the caravan (or trailer) - the means the actual vehicle at the rear not the width of your door mirrors , and you are expected to have a wide rear view of the 'van' and a prescribed area each side to the rear ! Frankly, I find them more hassle than they're worth - but I only tow a Puck L, even then 'technically' required, so fitted to avoid the problem from some over zealous cop with nothing better to do !

Hope this os of help - I'm sure there will be many more opinions here on the subject :)

Agreed, if the van is wider than the towing vehicle they are a legal requirement, even if the towing vehicle is wider than the van then you still have to justify their absence when pulled over................... easier to just fit a pair ............ and you do see more with them.

(I always thought a yeti was a big furry creature from mythology?)
