Wow, that was a bit extreme mate. Has someone upset you or something ? 
Personally, I would have taken advantage of belonging to both forums.
I no longer have that privilege although I was already a member of two other great forums, namely Caravantalk (Eriba) and the jolly French forum, Forumeribatouring, so between those two and this one I have plenty to occupy me.

That's sad, Neville, because as a regular contributor you have so much to offer both forums.
Still, their loss is our gain and it's good to know that you have found somewhere where you feel more comfortable.

I suppose socks would stretch over time, a 90 degree wash would shrink if needed, although if proper wool the knitting felt ers use a 40 degree wash with tennis balls to shrink there knitted booties
