First trip away, pouring rain and high wind

First Eriba touring experience today, set up on a CL near Thirsk this afternoon in A howling gale, rather foolhardilly began setting up the awning but gave up before anything got damaged as its 32 mph wind now.

It's now belting down, howling wind through the pop top, dog is soaked and yet

WE LOVE IT

Steaks and roast taties in oven, wine on ice,

Al

That's the spirit!

If you can have fun when the weather is lousy, just think what it will be like when the sun is shining.

Cheers folks, it's great fun, this is a one night stay to test the van prior to a one week stay in Northumberland next month.
So far, so good, everything works apart from the light in the ladies. (converted wardrobe) I brought no tools but plan to make a snagging list for fixing at home. As yet there are only a few minor things on the list.

Glad we didn't get the awning up really as we would be putting it away wet in the morning..

Strong 4g for the iPad on a CL miles from a town, that's a bit of a shock.

It's good to test yourselves and the caravan. Our first trip away was last Easter - similar to your test - wind, lashing rain......but as you've found out - it's all good.
