Mini induction hob.
Just purchased from Maplin a mini induction hob only 6"3/4 x 7"1/2. So perfect for storage in Eriba. It has a max power output of 500W with high & low settings plus a 30 min timer. Just tried a ordinary saucepan of water and it heated it very quickly allthough it has a cooling fan which might bother some but not me. Only 24.99 delivered . Would post a pic but have a job just logging in so won't push my luck. Paul.

It's not like leaving the tap on or anything...

Quite agree Pepe, but apparently because I have not logged in for months the forum disowns you. I then had quite a palaver getting back in, after a couple of days and reregistering I am now back. The main problem you cannot make contact if you can't log in. As you might gather I am not that good with pooters. Paul.

I'd give you mine, but I don't have as many buttons that do as many interesting things as they do, so there probably isn't much point

We just picked up an induction hob from Scotts of Stow - they had a good offer plus we had an extra discount so we got a red mini oven/grill at the same time.
The hob is 2kw / 9amp so I guess we'll have to be a bit careful on some sites - certainly not running both at full bore at the same time!!

we've had one of these for a couple of years...they are really ideal for the caravan as the only part that gets hot is the cooking section. No problem of cooling down. Ours is a standard kitchen one with timer and temperature control...like you....wouldn't be without it

One thing to check with these induction hobs is what happens when you power them on. I had one that had 7 power levels. Great for low amperage French sites thinks me. The snag was it defaulted to the high setting. 2KW, so you'd trip the supply before you could turn it down!
I now have a Tefal one that, on manual, defaults to 850W so should be fine as long as Linz isn't doing the ironing or suchlike at the same time........

Anyone would have thought I was guilty of co-pilot abuse. It didn't seem to make any difference when I said that she actually enjoys ironing (shock, horror!).

I was always brought up to believe that irons were unable to travel ! too sensitive was what I remember ...
I brought myself up on the principle if you fold it while its still warm from the tumble drier it don't need ironing and if you buy the stay pressed type trousers and struggle with them shirt thingies once in a while you can do without one altogether (think there's one lurking in a cupboard somewhere)
