Repairing blinds

Hello. I've done a search about repairing blinds and I've been to the Seitz website to get some info. My problem : little grandson seems to have the power of the Hulk and managed to get both blinds in the same channel.......
Then, on fiddling, trying to get them into their own channels, something went pRRRP and now they both dangle and there's no tension. THey will stay down, but won't go back up. They hovver half way up the window.
I think I get a vague grasp of tension and springs but do any of you have any experience of doing this kind of fix who can walk me through it, please?

Thank you for the replies. Tomored, I found that. I was hoping for some first-hand experience. We still can"t work out quite how the little darling managed it LOL
