Eribafolk Flags

During this Summer's Meet, several folk expressed an interest in badged clothing Badged Clothing and also Eribafolk Flags.

After discussion with some other members of admin. it was decided that a small flag would be far more acceptable on most campsites although if enough people were interested then I could research price and availability of a larger size.

The flag size is a standard 18" x 12" (450 x 300) and is professionally manufactured by a flag, sail and bunting printing company. They use proper flag material and the design is printed on one side with, what I would guess is an 80% see through on the reverse. They are fully hemmed and have a pole pocket down one side. (pole IS NOT provided).

I have already received an initial order of 6 flags and have distributed them to two other admin. members (no forum funds were harmed in the production of this order ). If anyone else is interested in purchasing one then I can work out a price incl. P&P but I would have to order them in small batches as the company I'm dealing with has a minimum order charge. I believe that at the moment they will be priced somewhere around the £9.00 mark delivered which would include a small donation to the forum hosting fees.

What about the pole Roger? I use an old fishing pole, but not ideal - it was a freebie

I seem to remember a certain member (P & P) in a previous life, had his thread removed for talking about flag poles

Anyway Derek, these are what most folk use 5M telescopic flag pole. They come in 3M, 4M, 5M, 6M, and 7M.

If you get one of those get a "road pin" these are about a metre long with a hook on the end, you often see them at the side of a road or on a pavement with orange barrier mesh on them to prevent people from falling into a gaping chasm! The hook is easily broken off, then you inset the road pin into the telescopic pole and it stays up invisibly, used them for years when I was kite boarding or mountain boarding!

I have a couple of them they look very well made

The pins Agger refers to are those that support my candle lamps (see my various travelogues) my flagpole is the 4 m size and a wine bottle cork on one of those 8" nail type pegs fits nicely in the bottom and a bit of cord round the front handle holds it nicely in place.

I'm about to raise an order for a small quantity of 18" x 12" flags.

I have two firm requests, does anyone else want me to reserve one? The total price delivered should be no more that £9.00 (preferred method of payment Paypal).

I'm also about to order a 36" x 24" flag to check the quality.

Please PM me.

You can also use an old windbreak pole or kiddies cricket set stump as a spike to hold it erect
