As the title says - Hello Folk!

We're Angie and Steve and after a fair while looking around thinking about it we're about to collect our first Familia, our first Eriba and, indeed, our first caravan this weekend... We're very happy with the prospect and are looking forward to the whole thing very much
She's a 1977 model in fair but not perfect condition so although very usable as is, she'll be getting a fair amount of TLC over the next couple of years. Finding the forum has been a great help and after much reading and lurking it is time we jumped in and joined you!

We're based in the Staffordshire Moorlands just inside the Peak District National Park so life is fairly rural if not a little wet. We've always camped in tents but now as we get a little less young the urge to have a few more creature comforts has grown and our Familia will (we're sure!!) provide all that without taking away the informality and freedom we always enjoyed in our tent.

Here's a pic, many more to follow when she gets home!

So, hopefully we'll be settling in here on the forum and getting to know you all over the coming months as we start our adventure.

Best wishes,

Steve and Angie.

Hi Steve and Angie.
Doesn't she look lovely. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.
Most folk on here came from a camping background so we're sure you won't regret your choice.

from Brittany where it can be almost as wet Lol You'll love your van! We had a tent up until last year and have found the caravan a real delight.

Thanks everyone for the lovely warm welcome - she's back from Holland and safely resting in the barn awaiting a nice little fettle over the coming winter.

Steve and Angie.
