Anyone replaced the black grommets that surround the pan stands? Or know where I can buy some.

Jandi. Always the first port of call.

Get yourself comfortable before you pick up the phone, make a big mug of tea and have at least a dozen digestives ready.

I replaced mine with ordinary grommets from Maplins. I bought two packs so that I'd have spares in case of meltdown (it hasn't happened yet.)

Ideally you need heat-resistant ones but (I assume) these will be expensive if purchased through a SMEV dealer.

There must have been a thread on here where we discussed this topic as I must have got the size/part number from somewhere but at the moment I can't find it.

I believe I am the guilty party responsible for this pearl of wisdom. A few years ago I came across "Maplin Open Grommet for 7.2mm Chassis Diameter, part number/code QT93B".
I have just gone through the contents of my now gone Famila, piled up in a neat pile in the garage. I pride myself on remembering where in the great pile the little plastic bag was hiding.
Try here:- http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-rubber-...m-10-pack-qt93b

I believe it was you Colin on another forum as I also needed to replace mine as they had perished. The replacements have been fine.

It's so nice to hear the satisfaction a grown man can gain from having his perished grommets renewed.

It's the hole that's the expensive part - notice the subtle shading? That's craftsmanship that is.........
