Venetian blinds for Eriba pan.

I have a 1993 Eriba pan. I want Venetian blinds over the kitchen at the pointed end of the van. Has anyone had any fitted or can give information of where I can get it done?

I presume it'll be one blind covering the whole window?

It'd be handy if you could find some side runners similar to the side and rear blackout blinds. This would then contain the venetian blind and also keep it close to the sides of the window.

I presume your van still has a curtain pelmet across the front that a blind could be fitted behind? I've seen photos of a venetian blind across the curved front window of older vans but am only guessing on how to fix one.

I have to agree with Randa the front windows slope and just fitting blinds would mean they hang in too far and get in the way this is why nets and curtains have an elastic retainer and hooks to hold them close to the windows.

Thanks, I may make two roller blinds and put a hooks in the windowsill to anchor the blinds. If I can keep the
taut then maybe they will work.

Hi Barbara.
Have you thought of a removable front blind on the outside of the window?

Something like this but maybe not as big?

It's fair to say that Francisco probably uses his because of the hot Portuguese sun (he doesn't have a front kitchen) but when the Frantones had a front kitchen Triton 420GT they appeared to use outside blinds quite a lot.

That's right we did. The ones we made let a lot of light through but gave us privacy with some shade.
These are on our Troll....

Just found this which is quite interesting :-

I think this French owner is using 2 qty pleated roof blinds and frames, fixed sideways onto the inside of the window and drawing sideways to meet in the middle

That's also what many motorhomes do nowadays.
