Am I the only one who accesses this by accident when scrolling up the page on a tablet?
Would the box be better located in bottom left hand corner of the screen/page?

Go to 'options' (hover over your user name top right) , click on 'settings' and tick 'hide chat' box and it will disappear.

Hover over your name on the right, when the drop down box appears click options

When the page opens click settings

on the new page option 5 is hide chat set that to yes and you should never see it again

don't think anyone uses it anyway.
