Has anyone else read with amazement/concern the letter on page 20 that says Erica caravans are not welcome on German sites? Is this true?

I read that and I wondered if there were some crossed wires. It might be that some of the other larger European brands are less welcome such as Fendt and Lord and maybe Eriba has just been mistakenly grouped with them. Whatever the reason it is clearly nonsense!

We stayed at 7 German campsites this year, from Hanover to Dresden, Plon to Kassel and we were made most welcome as were the several other Eribas we saw on these sites.

Haven't read that bit and feel that the mag is more or less a waste of time, but being members we get it. Lots of adverts of course stuff I am not interested in (apart from my sleb status), motorhome to China??

+ 1 C&CC Club magasine a total waste of space :( just a glorified "Advertising Platform". I too read the article about German Caravans and I'm sure that there is a certain "dislike" throughout mainland Europe for those 'vans such as 'Fendt etc which are popular with "Travellers" ! Maybe this is where the misconception came from !

I've just renewed my C&CC membership and opted for the 'on-line' version of the Magazine. Frankly, when I got the paper version, I had little of interest in it (for me) and would go straight into the recycling. I think the on-line membership was £7 cheaper, or something like that..

But I drift from the topic. I too have stayed on German sites and have seen plenty of Eribas. In fact, it was being surrounded by them on one site a couple of years ago that finally convinced me to buy one..

Could it possibly be a caravan sales rep flogging UK built caravans pushing for a sale? I've never heard such rubbish (well I have obviously but not for quite some time)

Saw that and thought what a load of crap a German camp-site refusing German made vans?

Only interesting thing I found so far was an advert for a caravan specific satnav for about £200.00 might think about that before I recycle the mag.
