Thank you all for the lovely warm welcome!
Kind regards to all from Shirley (Clueless) and Eddie.
Islay Corbel....you'd be very welcome to pitch on our drive with a view of Mont St Michel any time, just message. We had a glorious sunny day in the garden today, wonderful after the recent storms.
Thank you. You're very likely to find us waving at you in the spring LOL

We've stayed at two campsites near St Michel over the years and both were nice.
We met fellow Eribafolk members DaveG here in 2011.

This one in Pontorson is right next to the town and a cycleway to Mont St Michel. We paid a few extra euros and had a huge private bathroom on the emplacement.

I know both these sites Randa, the one in Servon is more basic methinks! Spookily, I have two friends who own houses near here, each stayed in each of these sites while signing for their house...small world isn't it?

It might be fun to arrange an informal get-together in the spring. I don't think we'd go so far as camping out in Cluless's front drive LOL
Although having said that I am part of another forum for veggie growing and there are quite a lot of us in France and one man who happens to have a field in front of his house became the venue for a get-together for a lot of us - many from England too. It was fun - we'd never met before either so a gamble that paid off. It was that weekend that got us into camping in the first place. In order to participate, I rushed to Decathlon to buy a small tent and inflatable bed. All went well until we went to inflate the bed to find that we had left the bung behind. DH cobbled together a bung out of a cork and a bin bag so we had a good night's sleep. Wouldn't want a repeat of the language used at the time, but that kind of informal get-together can be fun.

In the summer we had a huge non-Eriba parked up en route to Vannes from Kent....again a couple we had never met, but I had chatted on a small Normandy forum. Our gamble paid off too and we have made good friends....they liked our drive so much they spent another two nights on it on their way home. We are planning to meet them in Rouen in the spring if anyone knows of a good site near there? Plenty time in the spring for an informal meetup too! Laughed at your blow up bed Islay Corbel.....we spent the first night here on one....the cold from the tile floor ensured it was pretty flat by morning

Possibly a bit too far north for you but within driving distance of Rouen, this is a lovely site. ACSI too. http://www.camping-sainte-claire.com/
