Was that Steve's Pontos Andy? If so I'll take it off the for sale list.

Super choice - we have always loved this layout - didn't buy one because it won't fit into our garage :( - which is essential for us ! unfortunately.

Well done. Looks like you've had a good purchase. They don't come up for sale that often.

Hello Andy

I don't want to be accused of poking my nose in where it isn't wanted, but what's the towing limit on the Transit? Your post reminded me of something I'd heard about Transits not having much in the way of towing capacity, so I had a look out of curiosity, albeit a pretty cursory one.

What I found seems to say that the maximum braked trailer capacity is a measly 800kg. Is it really that low?

Cheers

Pete

Yes, bit of a problem, V5 for my Connect shows 1200kg braked,it has a tow bar. We have a Golf , V5 shows 1400kg braked no tow bar. I did intend to tow with the connect as I have working gundogs that come with us. I was thinking of changing the golf for a Yeti but I don't want a diesel and the 1.2 tsi is limited to 1200kg, I dont want a large 4x4 or pick up had them in the past, now I am retired i want something more economic. So stilling looking at options ?
