Hi,
We are new members, we do not even have an ERIBA yet, we have had campervans for the last 15 years our favourite being a HYMER A class. Having taken early retirement we cannot justify the investment required in a campervan, and after an extensive search we were just enchanted with ERIBA's. We plan to go touring next Spring 3 months heading for Porto and back.

Frist job is to find a van we fancy a 540 GT or similar in the New Year, we dont know wether to by second hand in the UK or buy from Germany, still researching.

We would appreciate any advice.

Good luck with your search, we live in France and it seems that most Continental Eribas do not have leisure battery fitted as standard. Ours doesn't and we were quoted around £550 to fit but have found that unless you are wild camping it isnt necessary on many sites although if you need a motor mover then obviously you would need the battery

From Anne and Ian.

We recently bought a second user troll and although it is 1998 have found it to be in very good condition.

It does have the 'odd' ding to the exterior but then that means I don't have to panic from any dings that might be my fault

All the best and good luck in your search

Our Triton is from 1998 and is in great shape. As Bryn said, vans here tend not to have the battery but in the year we've had her, it's never been a problem. We just hook up when we get to the campsite. The fridge chills enough to make ice cubes really quickly. You'll love it!

Welcome to Eribaworld. Many owners have previously been motorhomers and there are a few here like you and us from Hymers.
The 540 is a great van for 2 with space enough to entertain if you want and room to have your own personal areas at those times when you need to be out of the way!
Good luck in the buying process.

Blast!
There was me plying the secretary with Chateau Le Chunder to spill the beans about your personal areas. Wasted.

Welcome AndyEarle. We are also new to the world of Eriba and my wife has now joined me in the world of retirement ( a shock to her system but that's another story!)

In summer we collected a Troll 540GT and can thoroughly recommend it. It is Tardis like and great for the two of us . We have got an awning but not felt the need to put it up yet, as there is so much room inside for two. We have never towed before but we have found the Troll a doddle to tow - although we would recommend a motor mover for parking. If you do get one I'm sure you will also love it.. Happy hunting.

Well , don't want to bore you with the details but we have bought a 660 GT Pontos fell in love with it the moment we walked in, it has the same layout as Heidi our Hymer motorhome, so now looking to change our car in the New Year currently towing it with a 110bhp Connect Van.

Happy Days !!
