I have noticed that the bottom steel tubing by one of the back corner steadies has rusted up to where it goes up around the wheel.Do you think this could be a diy welding fix from underneath or do you think it would need a specialist to do the work.Has anyone done this themselves or could recomend someone around the north London area.thanks Keith

Hi Keith,

DIY welding fix?... It depends on how good a welder you are and what your general skill level and experience is vis a vis restoring and fixing stuff. My instinct is, that since you are asking the question, then you are best not attempting it yourself.

I'm sure someone on here will be able to point you in the direction of a specialist. Off the top of my head try Kool Classics in Surrey for some pointers:

Hi Keith.
Having read a lot of reports from other Eriba owners, then dependent on the size of the affected area, old pieces can be cut out and new pieces added. The biggest problem however is protecting the surrounding aluminium skin.

Thanks for the replies; I think it may be wise to let a specialist tackle the problem.
Kind Regards Keith
