Bubbling under window

Hi
Been to view an Eriba Triton 1994 today. Loved it apart from some bubbling on the interior under a side window. The current owner says the window was replaced 2-3 years ago but I am concerned there is damp. Any ideas if this can be dried out/repaired and the approx cost. I have attached a picture to try to show the problem. IMG_1466.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

It's hard to say where the damp is coming from, however I can see from the picture that the window seal joint is at the bottom. When replacing the window seals it is advisable to put the joint at the top. The reason for this is that as the condensation collects it runs to the bottom of the window seal and then down the crack where the joint is..
The cure for it will be to take the seal off and place the joint at the top,and try and dry the board out with a hair dryer.
Other than that it could be the belly band seal on the outside has been compromised and that is a bigger job to fix.
When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

Looks like that warping to the hardboard panel is on the lower half behind the bench cushion, which I would say is down to bad ventilation.
There is always a tell tail sign with water ingress in hardboard, ply and timber, it will swell and deform more at the source and reduce with less deformation as the ingress gets absorbed into the material. This give you an indication of the source.
Unless the window seal is leaking with the water bypassing the top part of the internal hardboard panel, dripping or running down behind the polly insolation, then working back up the panel, only inspection would tell.

Hi Ang. I'm a bit puzzled by the photo. Presumably that bit of 2" x 1" timber is leaning up against the outside of the Eriba? It's just that from the photo it looks like it's got a piece of perspex sealed to it.

That's outside nothing to do with the Eriba you can just see it through the window. It's stored in a car port type thing and it's part of that.
Good, that's what I wanted to know. I wanted to check that nobody had modified the window in any way. It has been known.
Re-sealing a fixed window should be quite easy and as Poptop says, the gasket join would be better at the top.
Does the Eriba smell of damp and is it the only area where you can see panel warping? Check inside cupboards etc.
