Estimate in the region of £3,000 (gulp!) if you go to AL as they only replace panels.

The people I used in Southampton were much cheaper and did an excellent job.

Edit: pimply finish may a different matter though. I feel your pain.

I always wondered how they repaired the dimpled finish. Do they have to replace the whole panel for even a small dent?

If it was your bin Tony, can you claim on house insurance or can you only claim on caravan insurance?

As annoying as this must be surely an entire panel replacement would be overkill. I'm no expert in these matters but I would have thought a good panel specialist would have been able to draw these two dents back out leaving not a trace. I've seen some horrifically hailstone damaged caravans over the past few years that have successfully been repaired and I would imagine that this might also be your insurance companies first thoughts.

We remember that about 15 years ago a ridge tile came off our roof and damaged our car. We had to use both house and car insurance.

When we queried it we were told that if it had hit a neighbour's car then our house insurance would have covered it

Regarding dimpled panel repairs I posted this last month. Eriba bodywork repairs

What a bugger. The galling thing about these kind of dings is that were they on a car with access to the rear of the panel, a PDR geezer from someone like Dent Devils would have them gone in an hour or so for seventy or eighty quid.

Some of these blokes are so good that I reckon they could even cope with the dimpled finish - the big snag, of course, is not being able to get at it from the inside.

And it won't be possible to pull it out using rubber suckers either.

Could perhaps try using a kit with glue-on pads?

Is there such a thing as a diy glue pad repair kit?

Yep. Google 'glue dent removal' or 'stick-on dent removal'.

This is one example. Might be thirty quid well spent - if you get handy with it, you could repay your investment (and then some) at the summer meet...

Cheers Pete, I've checked it out and some others on Amazon and eBay. There are also kits with slide hammer and puller which may give me a bit more versatility. Think I will have a go.
