After damaging a knee pulling the Puck onto our slightly inclined drive we have decided a 'mover' has become a necessity. As the space on a Puck is so limited and the weight is something we wish to keep low what do you all recommend as the best option for fitting such a product?

Have you considered a winch? Tow ball winch

Far cheaper and won't eat into your very small payload.

I've carried one for years (Thanks Frantone) but have as yet, not had the need to use it.

A standard mover for a Puck is not recommended for 2 reasons

1 the ground clearance is not really enough to fit one
2 As Randa said the weight of the mover + battery would use up most of the payload

I have read of some Eriba owners fitting a mover to a Puck 120, however as suggested its the weight and the very low ground clearance that will be a problem. Factor in approximately 25kg for the battery and 35kg for the mover. Try contacting Automotive Leisure or Jandi for advise..

We had the same issue, with our 1993 puck, as small as the Puck is when it is on a slight incline or in soft gravel it's like trying move a stubborn baby elephant, we changed ours out for a Familia so that we could have a bit more room and the fitting of a mover would be more straight forward..

Thanks for thoughts so far. A winch seems to be rather one directional as we also need to turn the caravan on the drive to hitch up of the car. The incline is no more than about 5 degrees. While people have made negative comments about a jockey wheel mover can anyone recount any benefits in our situation? Also what does 'hampshireman' mean about a 'retrofit'?
