Caravan mover tip

I have just fitted a secondhand Reich Move Control mover to our 1990 Triton, it all went quite smoothly apart from having to straighten out the main cross beam that had been distorted by the "U" bolts that fix the main beam to the caravan chassis. So if you are having a new mover fitted and intend to transfer it to your new van, as and when. Make sure that "U" bolts are not used to hold the mover onto the caravan chassis, otherwise refitting will be not a very nice experience.
Whilst refitting the mover to my Triton I substituted the "U" bolts for a 10mm steel plates above and below the beam secured with 4 x 10mm bolts. Not a difficult job but will certainly be a blessing if to mover is ever to be transferred to another van.
