Budget anti-black streak device

On a drizzling day I could see the irritating black streaks forming again so tried this old technique involving a piece of green garden wire. In this minimal rainfall with no wind it did work and took the rain drips away from the Eriba. There must be a more sophisticated solution?

Recently a guy posted these on a German Eriba site (rain end plates). Didn't say where he got them though.
Very over the top.

Cable ties, very effective and discreet if you use the white ones.
Must be me but I find that if you take a vertical line from the vans waistline and then measure horizontally to the point of the rain gutter, one would need plastic cable ties of considerable length in order for the rain not to drip and land at a point around the vans waist. I've found ties of a long enough length but once inserted through the rain gutter openings they tend to droop down which in effect shortens their length.
I've now taken to giving the area of the van that is subject to rain water drip a quick wipe with a soapy cloth following days of rain. Much easier and effective I've discovered.

Come on, Guys; if you are going to do a job then do it properly.
Seen on a 1968 Stirling caravan at Hawes last year.

Have you tried scoring the cable tie so that it has a curve? this will drop the water past the waistline..
