We sleep hanging from the roof like a pair of corpulent fruit bats. Breakfast in bed is a bit awkward, but at least the toast crumbs fall on the floor.

Early morning cuddles are out of the question.

I go diagonal - the direction varies. Depends how cold it is cos wardrobe corner is warmer

We slept like this in our 540 but then made it up into a double and sleep crossways, turning the bed into a type of king size. I am 5 11 and just fit across the width of the van. We bought a couple of Duvalay singles which we put across the van and this layout really suits us.

The only downside was once in freezing weather I was right under the pop top end and some freezing cold condensation dripped on my head!
