Water tastes blurghhhhh
We have a new aquaroll, used Pureclean to flush through. Despite this the water tastes just horrid. Any ideas?
I'm doing trips to the tap on site for our cuppas!
Also, we have a water heater, not sure if that could be the cause, as I don't know how the pipes work through it?

As simple as that.
If you get the 'orrible taste from the cold tap then you can discount the boiler being the culprit, and if you didn't have the problem before using the new Aquaroll then it must be that.
Try replacing the Aquaroll with something else and see if that makes any difference.
Although if it is the Aquaroll causing the problem I'm sure it will improve with time.

Thanks, as it's a new caravan (to us) we've not tried anything else. Did have similar issue in old caravan (new aqua-roll)... that could be it!
Many thanks

Most likely to be the Aquaroll. It will have some residual phenols in the material.
Water should have residual chlorine in it to be safe. Chlorine combines with phenols to produce trichlorophenol (TCP), that'll be the taste.
Had a similar problem at a campsite with high chlorine residuals. Bought a large bottle of water for tea making. Continue to use the aquaroll for other water use and the taste will gradually go away.

We flush our drinking water through using Milton about twice a year, never had a problem with residual taste as long as you throughly flush with clean water. We use the kitchen tap for drinking and cooking water.
Have had the problem described in previous vans and it has usually been due to the pipework... even then, it was variable so suspect certain water supplies interacted with pipes?
