I have a 1967 Pan which has quite a lot of battle scars along the sides. What is the best way to repair these? Can the panels be filled, rubbed down and repainted or is the skin too thin and flexible?

My lest Eriba had a very bad crease and small hole on one side, my son in law [an automotive body repair man] filled and re sprayed it, was perfect
