....The Countryman Pub at Bolam near Darlington. Chose it as near to god's own country.

Pub with campsite and good reviews for the pub grub. Not a good place to recommend for the site or food. We were the only ones on the site until Friday evening and then it was an enormous twin axle jobby but nice couple from about 30 minutes away, but they ate at the pub!!!
Also a family of five in a white box and tent for the kids.
One solitary small tent miles down the field Saturday night.
Not good facilities. One power shower, which was OK.
Duo sex toilets with two basins, two cubicles, no hot water this morning, no hooks, one shelf where it wasn't needed and a flashing neon tube.
Covered dish washing with no lights.
Chemical toilet dump very scruffy and not practical.

However before that we were on the excellent C&CC Barnard Castle site Monday for 3 nights.

Before that on the weekend we parked the van on a very awkward frontal, sloping in 2 directions and his van was close by - photo attached and not easy to extract from but he helped as we felt it might strain the mover otherwise, muscle helped. It was our friend's house in a remote spot called Meltham, near Holmfirth, Nora Batty country and did lots of drinking and eating all first class, including a currry house and the Oil Can Cafe, previously posted.

Two relatively easy journeys apart from a lot of road works near Scotch Corner.

Saw 4 Eribas today, the last one being towed by AL who overtook us a quite a lick, we were doing 65.
There was a tiny old Puck behind a green VWT2 and some others - saw them but didn't catch model or tow vehicles.
