Our two week holiday to Inverness had to be cancelled as we can't do the walks we planned, but we've still got away in Eric mk1
Eric is settled into the caravan life really well.

The other news is, we've finally got to try out our sun canopy, which we've decided we prefer to the awning

Eric looks sweet, we use to have a pug many years ago, she used to snore louder than a two stroke moped at full throttle....

Please Please, be careful with the pug in the heat being short nosed Brachia breed they can have terrible difficulties in heat. Only three weeks ago I pulled into a car park where owners were with their bulldog and it had collapsed of heat, and it had passed away in minutes probably due to heart failure. Felt awful as I couldn't help as I stopped to lend them my towels to get the temperature down but it was to late.

The amount of people I see walking their dogs in the good weather thinking they are doing them good when they really are best left to lie in shade on probably a nice damp towel.

You can get an item called a cool coat that helps but still should not be in the heat as their heads can still suffer sunstroke. Coats can be bought here and they are brill, I have 3 of mine wearing them when it gets hot, and you only need to keep dipping them in water and ringing them out and the dogs stays dry:

They also do dog bags that haas their head sticking out so it traps all the dirt and muck in the car/caravan drying the dog at the same time so when you get them out the dirt is just shaken out of the bag.
