screws and handles

During our recent trip one of the handles on the front of our Puck L started to come adrift when we were moving it into place. Seems the internal thread holding the screws has stripped as I can't get them to tighten down (not sure what they screw into but assume it is the frame). Is the simple answer to fit over sized self tapping screws? any advice appreciated.

I had a similar problem with my previous Familia, I thought it was a bolt, so like you I was surprised when a big self taper came out...
It was easy to fix, I used a plastic rawl plug in the hole, that gave the screw enough purchase to bite and it was rock solid....


When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!
