I'm sure you have all had that inspirational moment or seen something on someone else's caravan and thought that's good I could do that.
To get things started here are a couple of things I have been doing today.
1 for those who made sunshades or have bought some awning piping at any time .......a use for the left over bits
P1000896.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)
On the left are caravanstore 4mm piping which fit the slot on the main beam on these you can hang your supermarket plastic bag with the rubbish in or small items like an led torch or whatever as long as its not too heavy.
On the right awning piping left over from making window shades put it in the awning rail other side from the door and trap the other end in the car window or tie it somewhere nearby for an instant washing line.
If you don't have any awning piping (6mm) caravan shops sell it for about three quid a meter and the plastic eyelets three quid for ten (ignore the instructions remove the rubber washer and cut the hole out for it to go in with scissors)
cut the ends off at a nice angle and seal the cuts with a flame.
4mm piping for caravanstore is a little harder to find and if you need to pay postage may be cheaper to buy them on ebay eleven pounds for 4.
2 TV Aerial cable
On a recent trip in the Eriba I stayed on a site with TV Aerial points and bought a cheap (£7.99) 25 meter aerial extension lead which was about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike
If the site has TV Aerial points its because reception is not good there and a 25m thin cheap cable has enough signal loss in it to lose the benefit of an on-site aerial so off to my local tv shop this morning for 20 meter of the proper twin screened cable £1.00 a meter and 2 plugs £1.00 each to make my own lead. Total cost £22.00

On the left the cable I made today on the right the bought one

As the old adage says you get what you pay for
So if you have any "top tips" feel free to share them in this topic
Another top tip if you are at home during this heatwave and the Eriba is out on the drive nip out and pop the top and open some vents ...........it was 30 degrees when I went in mine this morning...............opened the car windows too

I have been looking through my old images and here is another top tip for those with pre 2000 eribas...........those with external gas lockers.
The hinges may look brass but in fact are steel, brass plated and normally not very visible they are prone to rust and also the plastic gets more brittle with age............worst of both worlds
P1290822.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)
So don't forget to oil them regularly to prevent damage to the locker.
While on the subject internal hinges are often not included in a service so wardrobe washroom doors and all locker hinges will benefit from a spot of oil now and again specially where steam rises eg above where you wash up and boil your kettle and cook food.

If you can find some the same size, hole centres etc yes it would ........... but they would still need oiling

Finally figured out why the wifi gets worse or disappears on some sites at night ......... the window blinds have a coating of foil on the outside surface to reflect heat.
It also blocks the wifi signal on sites where it is poor to start with, so if you lose the wifi after dark open the blinds between the sender and your laptop and try again. .... or try again outside.

We tuck our MiFi into the edge between the canvas and the rim and I am going to out it in a watertight box and put it on the roof next time we are away.

Thanks for that
I'll report back later today, hopefully.
Got a lot on at the moment. Two pairs of socks, a string vest, a pair of Mrs P's tights, moleskin trousers, a wool plaid shirt, tank top, cable knit cardigan, all-weather fleece, welding gauntlets, heavy leather boots with steel toecaps and a greasy fez.
