We have just taken the plunge and bought a Troll 540 GT 2001 to be towed by a 2009 E-Class estate. We have had brand new upholstery done by Katie of Totally Trimmed in Poole. I can add photos if anyone is interested. The only problem I have found so far is that the fridge doesn't work when we are driving along - I think this is quite common having read other forums etc.

I would get your car towing electrics checked. I am guessing you may have a 13 pin on the car where it is not fully wired up to charge the caravan battery and run the fridge. A retrofit at a good independent towbar specialist will probably cost you £200. The other thing is that you may just have black 7 pin electrics. The addition of the second grey 7 pin electrics might cost you similar.

ps - Please take care. An uncle of mine has towed with E class diesel Mercedes [saloon] for many years. He has not towed with anything as potent until the recent arrival of his fairly new remapped diesel Range Rover.

Skoda Yeti diesel 2wd _ ex 430, 552, camplet trailer tent, 310, now a nice new white 430.

In case you were wondering where your pictures had gone, I moved them to the Eriba Interiors department in the Picture Gallery.
