530 Troll GT Touring - Cracked Wheel Spats

The wife and I picked up our first caravan last week, fabulous new Eriba 530 troll GT Touring (I think that is the full name..) which had a few minor issues that were fixed before we left, but after reaching home we noticed that one of the wheel spats has small cracks where it wraps around the rail for the for an awning skirt, which look like stress fractures. We will obviously take this up with the dealer as a warranty issue but I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem?

Any feed back would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark
Sorry being a bit thick but not exactly sure what you mean by the wheel spats. Been out for a quick look at our 540 GT and can't see anything like cracks near the wheels.

Do you have a pic of it you could post?

Hi Mark and welcome to Eribafolk. If you've just bought the van new then I would certainly contact the dealer and get it sorted. The cracks can only get worse with time. Where did you purchase her (him) from?

My 2015 Familia had a slight crack in the plastic shroud at the front with the side light, it was missed on the PDI and like you I only noticed it when I got home. It wasn't a major problem. I told the dealer straight away and took some photographs. These were submitted to Hymer for a claim and it was changed out with no dramas. To make life easy for myself I had the work carried out on the Eribas first service.

I would certainly advise photographing the crack and submitting a report/complaint to the supplier as soon as possible For the price of the 'van it should have no damage !
