Hi.
Were a relatively young couple ( 25&26) looking for a caravan. Weve been more tent-folks, travelling with old american car on europe.
Now, situations change, and were waiting our first child. Now wife aint so much to tenting with a child.
Sooo, we started investigating what to get.
I wanted something oldish looking and lightweight behind my american car.
Theres plenty of options, but we both were together sold to these, due to timeless design ( you could buy even new one and it wouldnt look to be too much out of time behind old car), lightweight design, and robustness of chassis.
Id bet theres less problems buying old Eriba than some soapbox, which ioho are ugly.
Ive used to caravans ( my parents always had an one, and they do 1 month trip with it every year to europe. Thats where ive even seen these Eriba`s, havent seen any at Finland) and know what were looking for, were getting it to make adventures around europe,, not to lay on single spot whole summer
Were planning to buy it next spring, and do our last trip with tent this summer.
For future plans, 4 bunks is a must. So i quess im looking Triton. With an budget of <6000€.
Seems like i can get a nice one with that money from Europe, from a bit older models.
Until then, im reading there topics etc.
Happy summer for everyone!

Lahti, 100km north from our capital Helsinki.
Ah, Troll or Triton, my mistake. Seems like it is Troll. Anyways, the one with 4 beds.
Thought to join here due to welcome message too, and to ask questions when the time is near.
Looking to import it from either Germany or Netherlands at current knowledge.

I used to organise student exchanges for our university under the Erasmus scheme and visited Finland a number of times to attend and chair meetings of international representatives.
I can remember visiting Vaasa, Naantali, Heinola, Jyväskylä, Lahti, Salo, Turku and, of course, Helsinki. You have brought back memories of happy times with wonderful people in a fascinating country. On the day we visited Moomin Island, I remember saying to a friend that it was the first time that I'd walked on a frozen lake. "This isn't a lake," he replied, "this is the sea!"
