Hi, I'm a new Eriba fan and recently bought a 2000 Troll 530GT. I'm very impressed with it and am in process of making some 'improvements'. I'm aware that a lot of Eriba owners are purists and may frown on my work but It is 17 years old and needs updating. Hot water, led lights etc. Nothing too drastic.
I do need advice on ventilation. We slept in it on a very stormy night and with the roof down, found it stifling, but opening a window was too noisy. So I'm thinking of installing a small roof window with built in ventilation, and would welcome any advice, warnings or otherwise to help me.
Thanks in advance.

If you take a look at later Troll models you will see they incorporated a vent behind the pop top on the roof. You could do something similar. We very rarely drop the top at night even in stormy weather. Can also put front windows in vent position to allow some air flow.

If you have all the windows on vent and the roof down in bad weather, you'll have a lot of ventilation as there are so many windows! We were near Cherbourg in the spring and the weather was so windy and wild we had no option but to close the roof but we didn't feel stuffy and we sleep with windows open at home.

Yes thanks for that, the problem was the wind was so strong the noise was horrendous. So much so it was difficult to sleep.
