Speaker sign on supermarket card

just noticed the supermarket card, to use the scanner shopping thingy, has those speaker signal on, its supposed to make selecting the scanner shopping thing easier than the current barcode scan,
BUT does this mean all these folk who scam cards can now see how many if any cream cakes, happy juice, were in last grocery shop? the address of persons shopping, money spent
do we need a device to stop the card been scanned??
Any one got any recommendations to how to store the card against this??
Or can recommend something that works, other than putting on fire..

Also seen recently
the ccc mag mentions the break away cable connector with the sprung metal clip, will have to be changed for one with a carabiner - style ones by September 2019
the info is on page 11 news from September 2017 vol 112 no9

its the NCC who have approved (National Caravan Council)
the new clip looks similar to this.
