Anyone lost screws from hob side splash glass?

I was shocked last week to notice that we had lost a screw from the side glass splash glass that separates the hob from the seating area. this meant that the glass was very wobbly. When I took one of the others out the screw was quite specialised - a phillips head with some plastic on the end that touched the glass.

I am shocked that something like this should come out and be lost in a van only 12 months old that has only been used for 6 short trips.

AL don't stock them but are getting me some from Hymer.

Has anyone else had problems with these screws? It seems a strange thing to work loose. MikeT

With both Eribas that we have owned the bulkhead screw seems to be no more than a push fit acting as a third fixing point to add a bit of stability. It was never what you would call a tight fit. The other two fixings that affix to the top surface are more secure. You shouldn't be too surprised if other things become lose or fall off from time to time. The build quality leaves a lot to be desired imho.

Hi Deeps
Yes we also had a problem with that top fixing to the side wall coming loose but,as you say, as it seems not to be fixed to anything inside the side wall I was less shocked with this. At the first service AV at Tebay had a play with this but I suspect it will work loose again.

I was more shocked with the other as it is attached to the solid cooker/sink unit and the other bottom one that hadn't come out was still firmly fixed in to the metal piece that holds it. Why would the front one fall right out?.MikeT
