Triton 410 table

Hi all, we have had our Eriba for a month now but hubby and I have a disagreement, can someone help please. We have decided to keep our bed made up. I think it's not a good idea to travel with the table in its holder although it can be poppered to the wardrobe. Hubby says it is quite safe to do so. Any thoughts on this will be most appreciated.

Hi Joan and welcome to Eribafolk.

When we take the tables, we travel with them both in place. Recently however, we've left the rear table at home.

Thanks Randa. Seems like a good idea as we won't be using the table outside during the winter months. Just packing the bag for our next little trip.
Loving it♥️♥️♥️♥️

Interesting. Someone told us not to travel with the big table in place, but on the floor. I'd love to hear more views on this.

I've been thinking about this Islay and we might have a different table leg to you and other Eriba owners.

Our leg has a tee foot on it approx 300mm long whereas I've seen other Eriba tables with a thin tapering leg arrangement rather like a paperclip. The tee leg probably gives more stability.

Thought I'd better say it with pictures as my descriptions aren't good.

Sounds a lot like my dilemma a couple of years ago, when I decided to leave my large bed made up, I also was dubious about travelling with the table in the upright position beside the wardrobe. I did a couple of trips with it laying flat on the bed wardrobe side but unless in use outside it was always getting in the way as it was too big to go in the car, eventually it got left at home and a small folding table I had was used instead.

Then not happy with the size of that for use outside I set about making tables from kitchen cupboard doors.

Table < click for topic

Its a subject that comes up from time to time, eventually people settle for whatever works best for them.

If we leave our bed made up in the Familia 320 we leave the table attached to the van outside in the awning and we have no problems. However when traveling I do not leave the table attached to the rail in the van, the rudimentary suspension will make the table do an Irish jig on its peg leg just like Michael Flatley making the table rail lose....

Our large table on the 540 Troll is free-standing and its legs are not like any of these. in Randa's post. They are bit more like two flattened Y's

It has studs that fasten it to one of the beds when we travel. If we have the beds made up in the double bed format and then travel, it goes under the left hand side bed.

We leave the little table attached all the time and eat our breakfast of it. If it is sunny be put the big table outside to eat on.

We have two issues with the tables:

1. Cos of mobility issues I keep putting my weight on the attached small table and the adjustable leg slips down to a lower height and things slide off onto the floor
2. We can never decide whether to keep the double bed up on site or spend 10 minutes putting it and all the bedding away, and leaving the large table up
between the two beds in their single format.

If we put the small table on the outside of the van we find it a bit small to get the food on and the beer and the red wine! MikeT

Thanks people for your thoughts, think I might leave it indoors for the winter months and have a re-think for when we use it in the summer.

Off on a little jaunt now. Wave if your out there

Our leg is the paperclip type. We had visualized the table dancing about on journeys. I think we'll keep it on the floor while travelling.
