Yep. Just done so and moved anything that can be blown into the Eriba far enough away (I hope). That is except the cluster of silver birch trees that hang over it

Dustbins are the main culprit. The number of times I've read of Eribas damaged by dustbins................

Here, the sky is a really spooky, red colour. The wind was stronger this morning, but it's forecast to get stronger later. Stay safe!

We just nipped to the shops and there were at least a dozen people in the supermarket car park taking pictures of a noon sun the colour of a tomato. Seeing them all pointing their phones at the sky in bewilderment was like a scene from an apocalyptic disaster movie.

The sky and the sun are a weird colour because of the amount of Saharan dust that the storm is carrying with it.

Dustbins are the main culprit.

Many years ago I lost a greenhouse to a dustbin lid, it came sailing across the garden in a storm hit the greenhouse door and slid it open, the gale force wind entered and in under 5 secs blew out every window pane, Christmas day, not even my lid.

I remember the great storm of 30 years ago. After getting the chainsaw out so I could get out of the road I arrived at work, a very empty school. The site was closed so we walked around to inspect the damage. We got to the swimming pool to find the aluminium and fibreglass roof was in a poor but repairable state. Unfortunately it was in the middle of the sports field 150+ metres away from the swimming pool it was supposed to be covering.

towed back from near Daventry and followed the red sun and cloud all the way home. Did get bit blowy and saw the HGV's sway a little.
