Inside table fitted outside

Dear All,
I want to use the inside table outside. Any idea where I will get a length of alloy profile connection strip to screw to the outside?
Anyone done this and if so do you have a pic for me showing the best outside location?
Rgds,
Mike.

I'm pretty sure Jandi would sell you a length of the aluminium profile.

Have a rummage through the vans in the photo gallery for where to attach it - it's a standard fitting on several models, usually between the door and the wheel arch.

Just make sure it's the same height from the ground as the inside one is from the floor so you don't have to readjust the leg length all the time.

Sound as a pound...

...provided it's dead level outside.

If it isn't, you'll be catching peas in your lap

Good point, Pete.

When we used our table outside with the original leg (a piece of bent metal tube), I had to use a levelling ramp under it to ensure that the surface was horizontal.

Since then I've fitted one of these adjustable legs and adjusting level is now easy.

Fortunately (for me) the later vans have the type of leg you have fitted. Even so I always carry some small squares of 6mm plywood. I use these to pack out/level off the legs on my Cadac, "dining" table, and the leg of my homemade outside table. This runs along the van instead of out from it.
If you zoom in on the photo you should be able to see what I mean.

Right, good advice all around!
Will ring up Jandi for a bit of alloy profile.
Thanks All.

If you do indeed have a 99 420 I fail to see the problem all eriba's have an outdoor rail on the door side see here

Sorted,
AL of Poole supplied a length of rail. Jandi had a piece for the same price posted but AL is 5 Mins away from myself.
The rail as fitted as I learned was for the wheel recess cover which I will Modify later.
Fitting took 5 mins and a good result using the existing drilled holes and screws. Just to smooth away any sharp corners.
AL of Poole had telescopic legs in stock.... but they were Eriba originals and a bit pricy, I don't doubt the quality but as I am on a budget I will go to Caravans or just campers.
So quite happy with the result, the table is a good size which inside is a pain but outside is a bonus.
Mike.

Thanks Dave,
I saw this...

I have asked for postage charges and delivery time before ordering.

I like the idea of the wide foot to ensure my drink does not get spilled!

Just a thought - a wide foot like that used outside the van will only be of benefit when the ground is dead level and dead flat. Most of the time it won't be, so given that the table is already anchored across its whole width by the van-side rail and can't really twist, I'd have though a smaller point of contact with the ground would be much better.

If the ground is so soft that a standard foot begins to sink under the weight of a generous glass of Entre Deux Jambes, your chairs would probably have sunk to buttock level anyway.

The wide foot telescopic leg has been ordered from Kirivans at £29 delivered.......easy job to change out the old metal tube.
It will be ok.
Enjoying cherry picking at the jobs and I am in no hurry, after this its back to complete the electrics. Im just glad the Eriba is a nice simple build.
Mike.
