Has anybody got more info on these awnings? I’m sure these are the ones AL are supposed to be getting in this month.

Ask them Mike. Clairval are as big in France as Soplair and based on our ageing Clairval that is still going strong, they are a quality outfit.

I had a reply from Brian at AL today regarding these awnings. At this stage there is no due date in the UK but they are hoping they will be delivered and tested before the new season begins. At the last NEC show AL were advertising them at £1300 for a Troll. I’m very tempted to buy one from France before then as I want it yesterday!! They are 1330 Euros plus whatever the postage is.

Google translated: not sure about the crystal berry and curtains!

NB fast assembly in 10 minutes sounds good - does that include unfolding, getting it in the awning rail, pumping it up via 5 valves and pegging it out? Also no mention of what it weighs. However, it will be interesting to have a look at one.

INFLATABLE AWNING CLAIRVAL TWIN AIR FOR ERIBA
Size Twin: (Pontos/Troll)
€ 1,330.00
INFLATABLE AWNING CLAIRVAL TWIN AIR FOR ERIBA

Fast assembly in 10 minutes.
Simply slide the awning rod into the caravan rail and in some stroke the awning is installed.
Depth:
2m50 on the ground
Concept:
Detachable facade in 1 part
Detachable and swappable sides, one with mosquito net with a translucent shutter with zippers, the other with crystal berry and curtains.
Materials :
Printed synthetic canvas roof with acrylic coating on the outside (anti-condensation and easy care)
Woven synthetic canvas and PVC walls
Belt and flaps on the floor in leachable PVC
Large injected mesh zippers (5 year warranty)
Unalterable PVC bias, adjustable tensioners
Inflatable frame:
2 independent hoops at the front and at the back each equipped with a valve
3 independent ridge caps, each equipped with a valve
A total of 5 inflation points
Inflate each element to a perfect rigidity.
The inflatable frame of the awning TWIN AIR gives it a great stability: the tension of its sides and facade is enough to maintain it.
For the most exposed areas or to use the awning without sides / facade, 2 guying straps are included.

Hand pump supplied.

On the Bing translator it comes out as "crystal bay with curtains" = Window with curtains.

It's probably something that posh people have dangling into their Pimms glass Julie. Remember that some people don't just swig their alcohol straight from the bottle .............

Lost in translation 'crystal glass for sherry'.
