I suspect the fixed bed is a practical choice as it reduced the cost the modifications. The fixed bed is a standard set of parts. The table in the front dinette of the 530 is a completly different material - shines white for the rockabilly and a slate grey for the 60th anniversary edition, along with bespoke upholstery. If there wasn’t a fixed bed, then the back would need bespoke table and upholstery too.

I think that the Ocean Drive looks ace but the Rockabilly is awful. I must have an aversion of some kind to red and white together. Like some others I am not sure of the long term practicability of the white upholstery.
They might really appeal to a younger market though. MikeT

I was thinking about this 'younger market ' thing the other day. Specifically because I saw something that said Citroen had discontinued the Citroen C3 Picasso but its replacement was the C3 Aircross, or something like that.
Now I happen to know a few C3 Picasso owners and know of quite a few more. All the ones I know and plenty that I know of are over 70. The style of the Picasso suits them to a 'T'. The Aircross though, well that was designed for five year olds who are dangerous with crayons.
What are Citroen thinking of alienating a whole age group who happily buy a car and offering 70 year olds something a 3 year old kid would be ecstatic about?

So did my campervan, albeit after we'd sold it. Ours is the one on the left.

It's already very popular here with over 70s . I got stuck behind one doing doing 40 kms all the way home yesterday.

Maybe UK over '70's have more taste than their French counterparts. Do they go in for tattoos and reversed baseball caps too?

Well, we absolutely love the Rockabilly and throwing caution to the wind and opening up our wallets very wide we have placed an order for one for delivery early next year. The only downside is that we have to sell our 2017 Triton touring GT 420 which we also love .
