What is under the ali skin to screw or rivet to? Placing it to L. of door.

I can't find a photo of a 78 Pan with one fitted but I presume there should be a steel cross member in that location. There are plenty of photos of older Pucks in our Gallery with rails fitted.

Here's a couple of photos to show you the rough position of the table rail and the skeleton framework cross member you'll need to find to fix to. I suppose you could try using a strong magnet to see if there's a cross member there.

That's the way to go, around £5 for some rare earth magnets and locate the
steel tubing behind the alloy skin.
