Spellcheck

My spelling, like me is not perfect.
I do however get frustrated at my efforts being highlighted when the forum software thinks they are at fault.
Is it me or are others experiencing what I am guessing is American spellcheck settings.

Colour flavour ......Nope, wasn't changed to the american spelling. They can be really strange. My last phone used to change Mum to nun when I texted my children. Which would be the most widely used, i wonder?

The only software I have installed that uses a spellcheck facility is Microsoft Office. I cannot see how these would link with the forum, but then again I'm not a techie. Interestingly when e-mailing on talktalk it also throws some odd things in.

Im confuzed hear. Is there a spell cheque on the foram? I didnt now that.

I suspect it's more to do with a browser setting. I've composed a reply to your post in both Opera and Firefox; in Opera, mistakes are underlined in red and in Firefox they aren't.
That means a spell check is enabled in my Opera set up but not in Firefox. If it was native to Xobor (the forum software) it'd show up in both.

I've just checked behind the scenes and can find no reference to a spellchecker in the forum software.
If you are using Windows 10:
1. Left click on Windows icon at extreme bottom left of taskbar
2. Scroll down to and click 'Windows System'
3. Click on 'Control Panel'
4. Find icon for 'Language' and click on it
5. Select and click on 'English UK'
That should resolve the problem.
PS and as Pete says, check the settings in your browser. I've just checked my Opera browser (menu, settings, browser, languages) and UK English is selected there too. I'm sure my Firefox is the same.
PPS Now there's a surprise; I've just checked Firefox (3-line icon top right, Options, General, Language) and found that I have US English listed in preference to UK English. I had to use the 'move-up' to transpose them. Simply clicking on UK English changed nothing.

Ah,
I have gone into my Firefox browser, options, general, language. I have removed English [us] from the list and now have English [en] . Hopefully job done.

Has not worked. Colour still gets a red squiggle underneath.

Look to see if the 'Check my spelling as I type' box has a tick in it.
If it has, untick it.
