I'm intrigued, wot's a 'nasty but very useful folding coffee table from decathlon'? Or shouldn't it be spoken of in polite company?

Potentially we could be classed as having 5. We have two in the Troll, we still have the big table from the 420 which wasn't in it when the van was written off, a roll up camping table and a collapsible little table from Ikea. I don't want anyone to think I'm boasting as to be honest the big table will never be taken anywhere, it's new role in life is in the summerhouse where it will stay (unless it goes out on to the patio but that's the limit).

The big table on our '05 540 Troll (originally Mr Frantone's van) was a disaster. Not Tony's fault, but the owner in between had butchered it. We kept it in the garage, hidden away. The previous owner had even thrown the original legs away so I couldn't even order a replacement top, I'd have to buy the legs too. IIRC Hymer wanted about £500 for a new one.

When we sold the van we showed the bastardised table to the new owners and they said they didn't want it, so it went on the tip.
