Extended Travel Insurance

We have just booked ferry for our summer break which for the first time will be of 2 month duration . I have in the past taken out annual insurance as we normally would be going twice a year. The existing policy only covers for 31 days.
The last policy cost £70. Looking at 90day policies the price seems to start from around £230. Would welcome recommendations from our well travelled members who relax for extended stays in Europe.
I have yet to inquire to existing company about extending policy cost.

We're in the same situation. Normally we rely on the "free" insurance that comes through the bank. When I checked the small print I discovered that it won't cover our extended trip this year. Coincidentally my neighbour has just popped round with an application for the Post Office. They do a single trip up to 90 days and up to 74 years old. So in the next few days I shall toddle up the hill to our local PO and see how much this will set me back.
I'll post again once I've got some info to pass on.
It's all good fun this organising just so we can relax

Our bank [Lloyds] will extend the "free" insurance to 90 days per trip, [as many as we like] for a fee, yours may too.
