The first thing to do is to drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it going any further and then remove the lid from the caravan.

It looks as though the hinges are simply pop riveted on so they would have to be drilled out, they are easily replaced. The area behind the split needs to be reinforced with fibre glass mat and resin after which the outer surface can be filled, made good and refinished.
