Hi all, just saying hello. We collected our Troll 535 GT on Saturday. Stayed near Bournemouth to try it out. We had great weekend and look forward to many more.

Welcome Duncan & Lisa,

we are awaiting our new Troll 535 GT, which will replace our 4 year old Triton 420GT. Is it your first Eriba? Interested in your first thoughts, as the 535 is a new layout. We live in Worcestershire too!

Hi, we used to have a Bailey Caravan (10 years) and decided to take the plunge with an Eriba as the children have now grown up and left home. The layout we consider to be very user friendly. The large kitchen draws under this sink work really well. The tall fridge is interesting as it works as you would expect however I'm nervous that it only works off electricity (no gas option) and we do enjoy using remote sites without mains electric. The manual that came with the Troll only makes reference to older model fridges as I wanted to know the amps per hour it used. (I think I found it on line in the end) Hopefully my solar panel with keep pace with it.

We are planning to use the space above the wardrobe for a microwave, (when we have 240v) but we will live with it first and then decide.

Overall its really impressive, build quality, finish and ergonomics make for a great caravan.

We towed it back from the south coast without any trouble, it was a shame the roads were salty. I spent the next couple of hours cleaning!

No, not heard anything yet Jenny, have you? AL last said early May. If we both come to the Spring meet in our current vans we'll have a farewell party for them! I will actually be quite sad when it goes. I've been looking through photos of where we've been....12 countries and probably 14 months touring Europe in it in total in the 4 years, so we'll miss it. The Troll will have some catching up to do!

Glad you're pleased with it. We're looking forward to getting ours. We are giving up the massive bed in the 420 (I am 6ft 1") for the better kitchen layout and the bigger fridge (and husband wanted a front dinette for when I lie in!). We go to some pretty remote places in ours but have only used the fridge on gas a couple of times. We're looking at a roof solar panel, but shopping for local food produce daily and a big bucket of water (or a river if closeby) for the beer and wine suffices!

No news yet - EDA was supposed to be late March/April. Yes, we'll have to have a farewell party! This one hasn't travelled as far as the earlier Triton we had but I will miss it nonetheless. The 530 has better loading possibilities, I think, than the new 540 will have, like the shelves in the wardrobe and shorter (more compact) under seat lockers. I'm just thinking about ordering storage boxes to stop everything sliding about in the long lockers in the 540. And I hope the dog cage will still fit under the smaller dinette table. And as to where I store shoes, well??!! So I've just got to work out anew where everything will fit. I just hope the change will make things more manageable for himself.
