Hi All
We've just bought our first ever Eriba - a Troll 540 we collect on 27th. Part exing our 5 year old Coachman Pastiche 520/4 for it and can't wait. Already booked a week in Aldeburgh in April and 2 weeks in France in August.
We now could really do with advice on what wheel lock to get for it and I'd love some feedback on what people's thoughts are on the Kampa Air Pro 365 awning if anyone has experience of these.
We're big classic car enthiusiasts and feel the Eriba will look really bonny when towed by our classic.

Hi James and welcome to Eribafolk.
The Troll will take a little getting used to after the Coachman but you'll get more enjoyment from towing it and having admiring looks from others.
Regarding "wheel locks" and "Kampa Air Awning" there are pages of discussion and information on here. Best to type them into the search engine.

Hi, glad to hear you've joined the Eriba fan base.
We've had an Eriba for about 4 years, we're on our 2nd now, a 542 GT.
Like you we've been through a long learning curve.
1st the wheel lamp; I first bought a Bulldog, 215. ref I think but whilst it was hugely secure it was huge , heavy and cumbersome.
I now have a Purpleline Nemesis which clamps to the wheel via the wheelnut. This is excellent and v secure, lightweight too.
Secondly, Kampa 365, I have one of these too, after having a more traditional pole type awning, I would recommend one but you will need to trim off the ends of the awning bead as recommended by Kampa for post 2010 Eribas. The awning is easy to erect too, so I would recommend it.
Wheelclamp £115 & awning £850 . Would recommend negotiating for the awning, I got a free plastic awning rail gutter and a free LED awning light too.
Good luck.
Colin

Thanks for the feedback Colin.
Ours is a 2018 and I've just read all the posts on here on a thread regarding this awning. With it being about £850 I'm probably going to wait and hope that Kampa bring out a mark 2 with changes to it, as I feel very reluctant after reading the posts to invest that sort of money into an awning that doesn't seem to be quite right.
Thanks for the tip off for the wheel lock. We will get one of these. They seem to get good reviews too. Shame I can't just use the AL-KO wheel lock from my Coachman which has been great and would have saved money though. But at least and can re-use my AL-KO lock for the hitch!
I was really shocked when buying the Eriba how basic it was as standard compared with the Coachman and have had to fork out a fortune to get extras which to me should be essentials but hey - hopefully it'll be worth it. I'm really hoping the Sofa's/beds are going to be more comfortable in the Eriba too as apart from the fact it is a wobbly white box (, the uncomfortable sofa to bed issue has been a major bugbear in the Coachman.

Very envious you have the Defender! We had one and selling it was and still is a huge regret of mine. We have the Discovery mk 2 (which is still great) but I keep dreaming of swapping it for another Defender - which lets face it must look so cool with the Eriba towed behind.

As well as the cost of options you need to remember the additional weight.
A new 540 weighs 966kg ex the production line and 1005kg ready for the road in standard form.
Add a GT Pack and you've used 42kg
Spare wheel 20kg
Multi function rear lounge 10kg
Interior sprung rear lounge 10kg
Autonomy Pack 30kg
Ducting and fan 3kg
Electric boiler 3kg
Shower fittings 5kg
Total 123kg
So before loading anything the van weighs 1128kg, leaving 172kg of payload available for you to use. More than a Coachman's standard payload, but not a lot more.
