Connecting gas

Hi,

A new Eriba is coming in about 6 weeks and I really do not have a clue but tremendously excited!

I am trying prep the basics ahead of picking the eriba up and turned my attention to gas. Being a camper, I have a calorgas 4.5kg bottle - so I can at least get going with that.

I've search through the forum and really have no idea what I need to connect it? Does a new eriba come with all the fixtures, fitting, regulators and pipes needed for me to connect the bottle? Or do I need to purchase some kit? I am sure it'll all become apparent when I stand in front of one, but without any reference I am feeling about in the dark.

Thanks for help from an innocent pre-eriba owner.

Everything should be there on a new van, though some makers don't include the rubber pigtails as they're date limited and if a van sits in stock they can be quite old before it's sold. In such cases the dealer usually supplies the pig tail included in the price. Funnily enough, because they may have had the pig tail in stock for a while the date can be even worse than a factory supplied one, with it's constant turnover and especially if the van is going straight to a buyer. You should get a pig tail to cylinder spanner in the kit with the van. If you want to have a stainless steel flexible pig tail and/or easy fit handwheel connection, rather than the standard rubber and brass nut connection then you need to ask your dealer to fit it specially and that goes for other bits like auto or manual changeover switching systems, refillable cylinders etc, etc http://www.gaslowdirect.com/epages/cyujr...mu67/Categories
