While I take the point absolutely about the sealant above - and usually in - the gutter profile, you do see it if it has squidged down the walls from underneath. I don't really understand what good that's doing. It's excess sealant, and by definition excess is more than is necessary.
It just looks unsightly.
I assumed that's what Tony was talking about.
